Gladhanding Grammys, RIP Roy Scheider
I’m a work, and I’m simultaneously watching the Grammy’s, Office Space, and Senator Barack Obama’s latest speech in Virginia. The Obama and Grammy’s bit are actually part of my job description; the Office Space bit is just a delightful perk.
Generally, I avoid the bloated and ultimately soul-less awards shows, but as I’m watching Aretha Franklin totter around on stage, her massive…voice…emerging from a swathe of yellow chiffon, I felt the need to take notice here.
Not entirely sure how to create polls with the non-independent version of WordPress, so I’ll just ask you to comment until I can figure out a way for you to talk to me anonymously, using the power of radio buttons.
-Favorite moment from the Grammys (performance, speech, awkward cutaway shot)?
-Excited that the Oscars will happen thanks to the ending of the WGA strike?
-Don’t care much for anything involving the entertainment industry and feel this should just be a football blog?
EDIT:
A Roy Scheider obit just came over the AP wire. My cast of SeaQuest DSV keeps leaving so soon! Apparently the actor, best known for his role in Jaws (which I still haven’t seen, much to everyone’s anger), died today (Sunday) in a Little Rock hospital. Cause of death is still unknown.
